Film Laminating will add STRENGTH and PROTECTION to your high value printed jobs.

Laminate gives protection against tearing, smudging, dirt and moisture from repeat handling. Laminate will also ENHANCE the ink colors, contrast and presentation of your post press projects.

 

Film laminating one and two sides up to 30” wide X 40” length sheet automatically

One side laminating minimum sheet size of 9” X 12”

One sided laminating requires 1/2” space on all four sides between the image and

the edge of the paper to achieve a clean gripper/guide

Samples available upon request using customer supplied stock

 

 

Ideal for : Book Covers, Dust Jackets, Pocket Folders, Crack and Peel/Self-Adhesive Stickers, Presentation Folders, ID Badges, Name Tags, Restaurant Menus, Signs, Posters, Maps, Plot Plans, Insurance Cards, Children's Artwork, Bookmarks, Catalog Pages, Back Stage Passes, Business Cards, Newspaper Articles, VIP Passes, Mouse Pads, Counter Mats, just about anything can be laminated!

 

 

 

Film Selection

Films are available in different film thicknesses and finishes. See wide format for oversized sheet laminating. Specialty films are

available upon request.

Polyester (PET)

Excellent choice for menus, maps, and posters. Most popular, general all purpose film, it is extremely durable plus scuff and

scratch resistant.

 

Polypropylene (OPP)

Ideal for presentation folders, school folders, book covers, etc. This film is softer and features excellent folding characteristics.

 

"Scuff-Resistant" Polypropylene (OPP)

Recommended for one-sided Matte applications and is a more "Scuff-Resistant" film with less curl than PET and features

outstanding clarity. Ideal for presentation folders, school folders, book covers, etc. when scuffing is an issue.

Available in a matte finish only.

 

Nylon (a.k.a. curl-free/lay flat)

Widely used for book covers and is the film of choice for most book manufacturers.

 

"Scuff-Resistant" Nylon (a.k.a. curl-free/lay flat)

Recommended for one-sided Nylon Matte applications and is a more "Scuff-Resistant" film with less curl. Ideal for presentation

folders, school folders, book covers, etc. when scuffing is an issue.

Available in a matte finish only.

 

Super Stick

Film for toner-based printers when bonding issues arise.

 

Window Cling

Removable, transparent, optically clear, pressure sensitive film for window adhesion. No residue upon removal and placement of

product.

 

 

Film Thickness

*Note: It is more cost effective to use heavier paper stock with a lighter film gauge lamination and less cost effective to use lighter

paper stock with a heavier film gauge lamination*

1.7 mil - light protection and very flexible

3 mils - medium protection with more durability

5 mils - heavier protection and more rigid

10 mils - heaviest protection with most durability

 

 

Finishes

Specialty films are available upon request.

Gloss - highly reflective, shiny finish

Satin - medium sheen finish (presently stocked in 1.7 and 3 mils but not in all film widths)

Matte - dull, non-glare finish (presently stocked in 1.7 and 3 mils)

Matte and Gloss Blend - Cost effective technique used to achieve a Matte finish on the front side and Gloss on the backside

 

 

Coverage

Flush Edge - Film coverage stops at edge of paper

Sealed Edge - Film encapsulates paper with an 1/8" laminated seal on all 4 sides. Custom seal widths are available upon request.

Clean Gripper/Guide - Film is sized to cover the image area on a press sheet leaving two paper edges free of laminate for trimming

purposes
